Indie Fighters Throw it Down Anime Style

by kmiller

Fresh off of the press is a new video featuring a number of great indie fighters. The short, titled Boogie Woogie Feng Shui, was choreographed, directed and edited by Emmanuel Manzanares. It was inspired by a number of anime fight sequences, with them being presented as a live action anime music video.

There are a number of talented people in the video, including Brendon Huor, Mickey Facchinello, Vonzell Carter, Jeffery Griffith, Alexander Hashioka-Oatfield, and Seth Austin. All of them did a great job and I’ll let their actions speak for themselves.

I’ve embedded the Vimeo version so everyone around the globe can see it.

I really liked this video, and I think it does a great job of capturing the “AMV” feel that typically goes with these videos. Manny did a great job leaving in key movements while still making the choreo feel fresh. Also, I’d like to point out that you should never fight Brendon when he has a sword. That is bad news.

As an extra bonus, here are clips that inspired the video above:

Spike vs Vincent

Jin vs Sara
